Argentine 1970s Marine Combat Knife
Made by AAMZ. These knives were made from reformed M1909 Mauser bayonets and had the blades shortened with a bowie point. Black rubber grips and the bayonet was parkerized overall. The blade had a sawback of 10 teeth along the back of the blade, plus a longer tooth near the handle. The crossguard is the same as the bayonet but the ring and the button of the hook were eliminated, then mounted inverted so that the hand is protected by half quillion. The handle maintains the press stud mechanism and a lanyard hole in the pommel for a strap. The original serial number of the bayonet was removed, and new serial with correct prefix "02" (code for Argentine Marine material) and 5 figures below 02-02680 was stamped on right side of pommel. About 500 were made and were used during 1982 Falklands/Malvinas War. Rarity: R3 Condition: Exc Price: $475 |

Argentine 1973 Paratrooper Knife
Argentine 1973 Paratrooper knife developed in 1973 in the 141st Lt. Col. Arsenal Battalion. José Maria Rojas starting from the 1909 German Artillery Machete. The modifications consist of a shortening of the blade, which ends with two semicircles on the spine towards the tip. There is a version that states that they serve as support for the fingers to cut the throat. There is heavy grinding on both sides of the blade from the modification process. They were also subjected to a process of sharpening; The steel sheath was shortened, preserving its original button and rim system, so they continued to be used with the same leather baldric that the machete carried. Regarding the handle, only the crossguard was modified by cutting the upper quillion, and finally, a 5 mm hole was drilled in the pommel in order to be able to pass an lanyard rope. Finally, the name of Battalion 141 was stamped on the cross as follows: B. Ars. 141 J.M.R. Only 2000 units were manufactured. Rarity: R3 Condition: G+ Price: $475 |

US 1917 Winchester Bayonet - Modified w/large 23.5mm ring
Made by Winchester dated 1917 with Flaming Bomb. Wood grips held by two screws with an oil hole in the pommel. Fullered blade with some patina and light sharping. Leather scabbard with 1910 style belt attachment hooks. This is a possible modification of the standard 1917 bayonet which may have been made for the US 1918 BAR (Browning Automatic rifle). As a heavy automatic rifle designed for support fire, the M1918 was not fitted with a bayonet mount and no bayonet was ever issued. Only one experimental bayonet fitting was ever made for the BAR by Winchester. This was a standard M1917 fitted at the Winchester factory with a special muzzle ring which was 23.5mm in diameter. The bayonet was attached to a standard M1918 BAR by means of a special experimental flash hider assembly. This prototype bayonet-flash hider assembly came from the Winchester in-house factory museum in New Haven, Connecticut with a tag printed on one side Winchester Repeating Arms Co./New Haven Conn., and handwritten on the other side: combined flash hider, front sight and bayonet mount for Browning Automatic Rifle Model 1918 with bayonet and scabbard and the date - September 7, 1918. There is no evidence whatsoever of military adopting this bayonet. This is a very unusual and unconfirmed bayonet. Rarity: R2+ Condition: VG+ Price: $275 |
