This page focuses on German post 1918 rare and unusual bayonets and other edged weapons for sale or trade that are in above average condition for the advanced collector. German Post-WWI (Reichswehr) Bayonets
German 1898/05 Reichswehr Bayonet - RLM (Luftwaffe)
2nd pattern model with low ears and flashguard. Made by Waffenfabrik Mauser and dated W15 for Prussia. Wood grips with patina on the handle and crossguard with 'N' marked on underside of crossguard. Marked 'RLM' (Reichsluftfahrministerium (Luftwaffe Air Ministry)) on the left crossguard. Fullered blued blade with light sharpening with about 50% black paint finish remaining. Metal scabbard missing throat screw with dent near backside of bottom tip. Rare RLM marked bayonet. Rarity: R2 Condition: VG+ Price: $375 |
German Reichswehr Bavarian Police Bayonet
A Bavarian Police sidearm made by altering a 98/05 butcher bayonet by removing the crossguard, slotting the press stud and grip screws, narrowing the blade to a normal 84/98 length, and heavily bluing the piece overall. Made by Fichtel & Sachs and date 1918 for Bavaria. Wood grips held by two slotted screws. Nice bluing on the blade with no sharpening. Metal scabbard with most of the bluing remaining. Black leather frog with no markings remaining on the back. Rare Bavarian modified bayonet for the Police. Rarity: R3 Condition: VG+ Price: $475 |
German 1898/05 Reichswehr Bavarian Bayonet
2nd pattern model with low ears and flashguard. Made by Fichtel & Sachs and dated L15 for Bavaria. Wood grips with bluing on the handle and crossguard. Dings on the flashguard from being used as a hammer. Marked '1920' on the right crossguard. Fullered blued blade with no sharpening, Metal scabbard with much of the bluing finish remaining. Comes with a black frog with no markings remaining. Rare Bavarian and '1920' marked Reichsweher bayonet. Rarity: R2 Condition: VG+ Price: $325 |

2nd pattern model with low ears and flashguard. Made by C. G. Haenel and dated L14 for Bavaria. Wood grips with patina on the handle and crossguard. Marked 'm813' on the ricasso and '46' on the scabbard tip. Fullered blued blade with no sharpening with about 85% blued finish remaining. Metal scabbard with patina and frog stud is missing. German Special Forces ACK (advanced combat knife) Bayonet
Made by Eickhorn. Black plastic handle with screw cap on end of pommel covering mortise opening and an attachment bar on crossguard. Sawback blade with black finish with wirecutter and no sharpening. Black plastic scabbard with lanyard and cap cover for the wirecutter. Used by Bundeswehr Elite Forces. Rarity: R2 Condition: Exc Price: $175 |

German 1920s Weimar Clamshell Dress Bayonet
This is a very unusual specially made Weimar Police clamshell set. The bayonet is from a 1884/98 sawback removed set which has been nickeled overall and all markings have been removed. Stag grips with Weimar insignia and nickeled slotted screws. There is a crack across the pommel. Only the right side of the handle has been engraved to look like standard police dress handle and the back side has been left plain. Nickeled sawback removed blade with no sharpening. WWI scabbard has been painted black with nickeled lower part of scabbard to look like separate bottom fitting. Very unique specially made Weimar Police set. Rarity: R2+ Condition: VG+ Price: $975 |
On Hold - German 1920s Weimar Customs Clamshell Dress Bayonet
Made by WKC with the distributor Muhlenfeld-Barmen. Customs short model stag dress bayonet with clamshell and no insignia on the right grip which is typical for Customs models. Eagle head pommel with no mortise slot. Short 13" carbine style blade with about 90% nickel finish remaining. Leather scabbard with metal fittings with some peeled off leather surface on the front side. Leather frog with the same distributor marking Muhlenfeld-Barmen and retaining buckle/strap. Red and silver Police troddel with fraying. Rare early Customs model set. Rarity: R2+ Condition: VG+ Price: $1050 |
German 1920s Weimar Police Clamshell Dress Bayonet
Made by Eickhorn. Police shortened stag dress bayonet with clamshell and Weimar period insignia on the right grip. Eagle head pommel with no mortise slot. Matching numbers on the crossguard and scabbard fitting 'P.Fr.408'. There are also matching '17' on the blade spine and scabbard throat and the normal starburst on the blade spine. Cutdown 13" blade with about 90% nickel finish remaining with some light staining. Leather scabbard with metal fittings. Rare early model. Rarity: R2+ Condition: VG+ Price: $1100 |
German WWII 98k Dress Bayonet
Made by F. W. Holler. Black plastic grips with about 90% of nickel finish left on handle with red felt in mortise slot. Left grip has old repair to fix a chipped section. Short blade has most all its original chromed finish. Metal scabbard has about 90% black paint remaining. Rarity: R1+ Condition: VG Price: $50 |
German WWII Dress Regimentally Marked Bayonet
No maker. Black plastic grips with about 40% of nickel finish left on handle. Crossguard is regimentally marked 'H.V.A.21'. Long blade has been sharpened with about 70% of nickel finish left. Metal scabbard has only ~10% black paint remaining and the frog stud is loose. Very scarce to find dress bayonets regimentally marked. For use as a dress or off-duty piece and not meant to be mounted on a rifle. Rarity: R1+ Condition: VG Price: $60 |

German WWII Luftwaffe Sawback Survival Sword
Made by Alcoso, Solingen and are marked on the left side of the blade. There are no other markings or inspection stamps. Grooved wood grips held by two screws with black painted handle and crossguard. Long sawback machete blade with staining and no obvious sharpening. No scabbard. These were issued as standard equipment to bomber crews. This machete was not carried on the uniform as such, but was apparently stored in the aircraft as part of the inventory equipment. The purpose of the piece was to serve as a utility tool/survival weapon, in the event of the crew being grounded in hostile conditions. Very rare. Rarity: R3+ Condition: VG+ Price: $1400 |
