JAPANESE TYPE 30 Bayonets

Japanese Type 30 Bayonet - Tokyo (LB-74)
Made by Tokyo on the blade with serial number 641740 on both the pommel and tang with kanji marking on the ricasso and muzzle ring.  Birdhead pommel with contoured grips held by screws with hooked crossguard.  Bright fullered blade with light sharpening.  Metal scabbard with ball tip with some pitting on both sides of top of scabbard. LB-74, Rated 5 (rare) by Raymond Labar's book.

Japanese Type 30 Bayonet - Tokyo (LB-75)
Made by Tokyo on the blade with serial number 339341 and kanji markings on the crossguard for training use.  Birdhead pommel with contoured grips held by screws with hooked crossguard.  Bright fullered blade with light sharpening.  Metal scabbard with ball tip.  From the collection of J. Cheri who purchased many of his items from R. Labar.  LB-75, Rated 1 (common) by Raymond Labar's book but more scarce with kanji on crossguard for training use.

Japanese Type 30 Bayonet - Tokyo (LB-76)
Made by Tokyo on the blade with serial number & 3 inspection marks on the end of the pommel.  Birdhead pommel with contoured grips held by screws with hooked crossguard.  Bright fullered blade that was reworked//blued with a 'test mark' (imprinted dot) next to the maker mark with light sharpening.  Metal scabbard with tubular tip with some areas of patina.  From the collection of J. Cheri who purchased many of his items from R. Labar.  Similar to LB-76, Rated 1 (common) but this one has been reworked/blued which is not listed in Raymond Labar's book.

No maker on the blade with the school kanji on right grip. Birdhead pommel with contoured grips held by two screws with hooked quillion.  Serial number 83 on end of pommel.  Crudely made bright fullered blade with light sharpening and patina.  Metal scabbard with ball tip with no bluing.  From the collection of J. Birdhead pommel with contoured grips held by two screws with straight quillion. Crudely made bright fullered blade.  Metal scabbard with ball tip with black paint remaining and a couple of dents.  Comes with rare cloth frog with hardened rubberized retaining strap.  From the collection of J.
