Copyrighted 1985.  Soft cover with 194 pages.  An early work on the various inspection proof marks found on rifles covering many countries worldwide. On every important part of every shoulder gun or handgun sold in Germany is a small mark. This is the mark of the proof house where the gun underwent proof. The law concerning proof marks is designed to stimulate domestic arms makers and make them more competitive in the export market. The law serves to protect the buying public from unscrupulous manufacturers.

Copyrighted 1973. Hard cover with 288 pages. The Sword and Knife Makers of Germany 1850-2000 Volume 1, A-L, is an excellent book for identifying German knives, swords, bayonets and markings on them. It was published by Tharston Press in 2001. Anthony Carter's untimely death the following year was a terrible loss to the knife world and he was unable to complete Volume II.  Illustrated.  See photos for table of contents.  Very hard to find book.
